Director

M. Affan Yusuf is currently serving as the Managing Director & CEO of City Brokerage Limited. Prior to the position he was Head of Sales & Trading of the same venture. He completed his graduation in Business Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and post graduation from North South University. Earlier to joining City Brokerage he was the Head of Sales & Trading in IDLC Securities Limited and EC Securities. In his 18 years work experience in Bangladesh Capital Market he carries the ability to support, encourage and motivate colleagues and investors as well as an excellent track record at generating new business. He has participated in numerous seminars and training programs related to the operations and development of the capital market, at both national and international level.

Md Sayful Islam brings with him more than 14 years of diversified experience in the capital market of Bangladesh across multiple roles. He began his journey in IDLC Securities Limited as a Research Analyst in 2008 from which he assumed the role of Head of Research in City Brokerage Limited in 2013. He eventually undertook the responsibility of Head of Foreign trading in 2014 before moving onto his current role as the Head of Sales in 2016. He has published numerous equity reports and articles in Power, Construction, Telecommunication, and FMCG sectors of Bangladesh in various platforms like Bloomberg LP, FactSet and Refinitiv etc. During his tenure, he has participated in and organized several Frontier Market investor roadshows. He also managed different roadshows for renowned listed companies and reverse roadshows across the globe including USA, UK, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangladesh in collaboration with global frontier market brokers. Sayful was a pivotal member of CBL team that has structured and executed few of the largest and breakthrough transactions in the history of Bangladesh capital market. He is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Society, Bangladesh.

Mr. Arafat Shamsher Ally is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary of City Brokerage Limited. Prior to joining City Brokerage, he was the Assistant Director-Finance & Admin of A. Qasem & Co. Chartered Accountants a member firm of Ernst & Young Global Ltd. (EY). He has been working in Assurance, Accounts & Finance for more than 14 years. He started his career back in 2008 as an Audit Associate – Assurance in A. Qasem & Co. Chartered Accountants a co-operative firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Ltd. (PWC). He completed his Bachelors in Business Studies from Dhaka City College, and Masters from Department of Management, Dhaka College.

AKM Fazlay Rabby has diverse experiences in the Bangladesh Capital Market for 14+ years and played various key roles in leading institutions of the country. He started his career as Management Trainee in the Research & Development of Investment Banking wing of AB Bank Limited in 2008. In 2014, Rabby joined NRB Bank Limited as Head of Investment Banking and later joined City Brokerage Limited in 2018. His key area of expertise includes equity research, investment analysis, portfolio management, IPOs, product development, private equity, merger and acquisitions etc. He also contributes as a key resource person in various capital market related seminars, workshops, training programs on a regular basis. Rabby completed his graduation from North South University and post-graduation from University of Dhaka.

Mohiuddin Ahmmed Bulbul is currently serving as the SAVP & Head of Retail Sales of City Brokerage Limited(CBL). Prior to working as Head of Retail Sales in CBL, he was the Manager of Finance & accounts in CBL. He has been working in the Bangladesh Capital Market for more than 15 years. He started his career back in 2007 as Officer in PFI Securities Limited, an associate of Prime Finance & Investment Limited. He completed his Bachelor and Masters of Business Administration from the Department of Accounting & Information Systems, Jagannath University.

Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Masum has over 14 years of diversified experience in the capital market of Bangladesh. He started his career at IDLC Investment Limited in 2008. Then he joined City Brokerage Ltd. as the head of the customer service department in 2009. He later became the In-charge of Dhanmondi and Nikunja Branch. After successfully leading these two branches, he took a new leading role as the head of NRB department, from which he eventually took his current position as the head of Corporate Division on July 1, 2020. He has been contributing to City Brokerage Ltd. since the inception of the company. He has played a major role in onboarding nineteen merchant banks including four state-owned banks. He also played important roles in building strong relationships with government and non-government banks and financial institutions. Apart from these, he also successfully formulated and implemented various policies at the organizational level. Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Masum has completed MBA in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Dhaka.

Nazir Hossain has over 15 years of experience in the capital market of Bangladesh. He was head of the Settlement department in City Brokerage prior to taking charge as Head of NRB Department. Nazir also worked in renowned institutions like Union Capital Limited, and IDLC Securities Limited. He has completed his B. Com (Hons) and M.Com (Accounting) from Govt. Rajendra University College, Faridpur under National University.

Shafiqur Rahman is currently serving as AVP under Strategic Business Planning Department. He has around 11 years of capital market experience under City Brokerage Limited in different departments. His key areas of expertise are Foreign Trade, Institutional Trade, Discretionary Portfolio Management and Project Management. Rahman completed his Graduation from Eastern University and MBA from Dhaka University under Finance Department.

Masud Alam is working as the Head of the Foreign Institutional Investment department at City Brokerage Ltd. He brings with him over 13 years of experience in the capital market of Bangladesh. He began his career at Prime Finance in the merchant bank division where he worked for almost 7 months. Later in 2010, he moved to City Brokerage Ltd. (CBL). Masud in his 12 years at CBL has managed a good number of Foreign brokers, local AMCs, and HNI clients. He has been an active member of the organizing committee of many roadshows organized by CBL and Foreign partners. Moreover, he has participated in various training programs organized by Exchange and CBL In 2020, he executed the Unilever-Glaxo deal which is the largest executed deal in the history of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), and earned the title of highest revenue generator award by CBL. Masud has completed ACBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.

Md. Nazrul Islam is working as Head of IT of the City Brokerage Limited, Prior joining at City Brokerage, he worked for different capacities in Link3 Technologies Limited and Banglalink an Orascom Telecom. During his professional career Nazrul worked in Digital Transformation, Enterprise Application, Order Management System, Information Security Governance, Infrastructure Management and played a key enabler role in IT for the business. Having a sound academic track record, Nazrul earned an MSc degree from Jahangirnagar University, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering. He has obtained his Master in Business Administration degree from University of Information Technology & Sciences. Beside this, he has received different OEM professional certificates such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Mikrotik, VMware, Microsoft Cloud and so on. He also participated in numerous training sessions both at home and abroad.

Syed M. Navid Farabi has diversified experiences in Human Resource Division in different types of industries for more than 8 years and played innumerable key roles in leading institutions of the country. Prior to joining City Brokerage; he worked in different concerns of Virgo Group. He has expertise in different sectors of the Human Resource and Admin Division. Farabi completed his graduation in Business studies from Southeast University and post-graduation from Independent University of Bangladesh
